The Department of Arts and Humanities was started in the academic year 2011 with the introduction of a BA course affiliated to Barkatullah University, Bhopal. The department started with the subjects Political Science, Sociology, Hindi,Economics and Computer.
A Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree is an undergraduate academic degree that typically takes three years to complete. Programmes Offered
Bachelor in Arts (BA): It is a 3-year Under-Graduate programme. It is extended over three years. This humanities course is concentrated enquiries into the subject and at the same time lead on to a wide range of possible careers such as mass media, communication, PSC, UPSC, public relations, foreign services, political analysts, guidance and counseling, research, working with NGOs, social and community services sector, environment, language and skill trainers and educators.

Activities Organized by Department
- The Department of Humanities celebrates various days like Humanitarian day, Right to Information day, Philosophy day, Constitution day, Green day to raise the awareness of students regarding the significance of celebrating these important days.
- Various visits has been organised by the department to give practical exposure to the students like visit to Vidhan Sabha (State Legislative Assembly), Panchayat, parliament, NGO, Tribal Museum, Heritage Walk.
- Remedial and Bridge classes are held for students in order to give them a better understanding of the subject and also help them in improving their skills.
